Qatar National Football Team Breaks FIFA World Cup Record
Yesterday marked the beginning of the 2022 FIFA world cup being hosted in Qatar. As such, the host nation was expected to feature in the opening match. However, thing didn't go down with with the Qatari team as the Ecuador football team beat them 2 - 0. One of his goal which could have made it 3 was ruled offside by the VAR officials. By the result, Qatar has become the first national team to lose an opening match as the host nation. This is the first time in the history of FIFA world cup where the host nation will lose their opening match. The world cup will continues today with England playing against Iran by 2pm.
