  The Executive governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has gifted the players of Rivers United Football Club the sum of $20,000 (around ₦12m) for lifting the trophy and finishing top of Nigerian Professional Football League.  The governor made the promise today in the government house at event organised to receive the players, coaches and the supporters club. He thank the players, coaches and the supporters club for doing their job effectively and noted that they all did their job well. President Mohammadu Buhari today at the Aso Rock launched the new Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPC Limited. The move is in line with the directive given to the Minister of petroleum Resources to ensure that NNPC move from being a corporation to limited liability within six months of signing the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) of 2021. The PIA was signed into law by Mr President, Buhari in 2021 to promote accountability, transparency and in line with the global energy best practices. The law mandated NNPC to be run as a limited liability company. Consequently, NNPC registered with CAC as a limited liability company in September 2021 with a share capital of ₦200 billion, making it the largest company in Nigeria per share capital.   With over 200 million Nigerians as shareholders, the company will be run as a private energy company and will compete with multinational energy companies all over the world.   If you are traveling abroad and wishes to obtain the Nigerian Police Character Certificate (PCC) not that the price has been hike to ₦40,000. Prior before now, the price use to be ₦5,000. But recently, it has been increased to ₦40,000, that is, by over 700%.  According to report from Vanguard News , the increase in price is with immediate effect and with no reason given.  PCC  also know as Police Character Certificate or Police Clearance Certificate is a certificate being issued to some individuals who wish travel out for studies, or employment to show that they have no criminal record or they are not running away from any form of offence.  A regional Security Outfit, Ebubeagu reportedly kills 7 Villagers In Awomama in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State who where returning from a wedding ceremony, killing up 7 at the spot.   A popular Nigeria Nollywood actress Ada Ameh passed-on on Sunday 17th July at Delta State, Nigeria. Report has it that she collapsed during an event organised by oil Company in Warri Delta State. She was immediately rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) hospital but passed away on getting to the hospital. She was aged 43. Ada Ameh is popular in Nollywood and Nigerians home due to her movie career. OSUN State in South West Nigeria held their Governorship election Saturday, 16th July, conducted by the INEC, the independent body responsible for states and federal elections in Nigeria. The Osun decides election is to elect new governor that will be in charge of the state for thee next 4 years. The election was chiefly between the incumbent governor, Oyetola of the APC party and his PDP counterpart, Senator Ademola Adeleke.  From the result announced by INEC, Adeleke pulled a total of  402,979 votes against the 375,077 votes gathered by Governor Oyetola. Senator Ademola Adeleke won in 17 local government areas of the state including Olorunda, Ede South, Orolu, Osogbo, Odo Otin, Ifelodun, Atakumosa, and Ila (Chief Bisi Akande, a chieftain of APC is from here). Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is not being sold to motorists at varying prices ranging from ₦180 to ₦250 across all states of the federation, including Lagos and Abuja.
