Adding just 5 Naira art litre of AGO for a truck of 45,000 litres capacity will give a broker a profit of ₦225,000. Remember, the broker holds no inventory, no invested capital. So all revenue he realised from the business is profit.


The work of a broker is to look for buyers and then link them with suppliers. It may not be this straight forward because, a broker needs to be careful otherwise, he may be pushed out of the business deal especially by greedy suppliers.



The use of Local Purchase Order (LPO) makes the business even more easier for independent broker. LPO is a paper document given to a supplier by a buyer to supply certain product quality and quantity at a given price and location. 

As a broker, you can hunt for such LPOs both online and offline with a convincing proposal letter or introduction letter.


To be successful in the business, you need to have a reliable supplier and be sincere on your own part.
